If you encounter difficulties linking your bank account to Cheddar, an error code will usually be displayed to explain the issue. Depending on the error, follow these steps:
Common Linking Errors:
- Name Mismatch: If the error is due to a name mismatch between your Cheddar profile and bank account, please contact us with proof of how your name is registered on the account you with to link. Preferably correspondence from the bank (of course obscuring any sensitive data).
- Unsupported Bank or type: The issue could be that your bank/card is not currently supported. Note: we only supply personal current accounts and credit cards from our approved list of banking partners. Exclusions apply.
No Error Message?
- Ensure both the Cheddar app and your banking provider's app are updated to the latest version.
- Verify that you have a strong network connection or Wi-Fi, as an active internet connection is necessary for linking.
